Citrus Circles (a deo-disk alternative)
Citrus Circles™: "A fresh scent for your diaper pail!"
Odour deodorizing wafers for the diaper pail - or any smelly contained space - with a fresh, clean citrus scent. Made of the same blotter paper as deo disks, with a oil based citrus scent applied - an effective tool to reduce diaper pail odor. Nontoxic, but of course they should not be ingested.
Circular shape, these fit well in 54 quart pails, and most other pails. These really work well and last approximately 3-4 weeks, depending upon room temperature and humidity.
Shaped to fit in the slot on your diaper pail lid, in your tote bag holder or you can just slit the plastic cover and lay it flat where you need it.
If you don't have a special slot in your diaper pail for deodorizing disks, take an old pair of nylons and cut about 18" off of one of the legs. Put the Citrus Circle in the stocking foot and then hang it just about anywhere. Or, poke some holes in a small margarine or yogurt container, put your Citrus Circle inside and drop in your diaper pail.
Over 30 Diaper Services and other service based industries use Citrus Circles in the service of their customers.
Manufacturer Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
Ideal for any contained area that needs "freshening" up including: diaper pails, garbage pails, bathrooms, etc.
Individually wrapped to ensure freshness and made in the USA.
Sharon asked: Does anyone know how I could possibly add a "holder" for a Deo disk to the lid of a diaper pail that doesn't already have one? I have seen some people mention that they use an inexpensive trash can with a lid for a diaper pail. Any of you that use those - have you added a holder for some sort of deodorizer and if so, how did you do it?
Catherine's Answer: You could Crazy Glue a small margarine tub to your pail lid (poke some holes in it), but personally I would just put the Deo-disk in the margarine tub and leave it at the bottom of the pail (no glue).
Thanks to Sara Eames for this Frugal Baby Tip!
This won't save a whole lot of money, but it will save your nose. I think the deodorizers made for diaper pails often smell worse than the diapers. They make my eyes water. Instead, put six or seven drops of your favorite essential oil on a cotton ball or pad, and put it in your pails deo-disk holder. Or just tape to the inside of the lid. Add a couple more drops every week or two to re-charge it.
Thanks to Lisa for this great Frugal Baby Tip!
I can't remember who told me about it - but it really works -- I put in a dryer sheet - I cut them in half and put one in each pail. They just end up being washed if they are in cloth pail - I suppose if I was a fanatic I could use it as "poop catcher" in diaper... or thrown out if in trash pail. This was one tip that I found truly worked!!
