When someone gives us their credit card or bank account details, we accept a responsibility to keep that information confidential. We take that responsibility very seriously.

In the Born to Love online shopping cart, our customers' payment information is encrypted and then saved to the database. Only the owner of Born to Love can download this information, and only by using an SSL enabled browser from within the Admin area.
Once she has downloaded the payment information, the record is immediately deleted from the server. This is done daily - your information is never stored online.

It is absolutely essential that you never send your credit card information in unencrypted email. There is too much risk that a hacker could get access to your information this way.

All of this means that your credit card information is sent directly to the credit card processor in a very secure manner, so that nobody else can see it. That protects you by ensuring that nobody but you and the credit card processor will see your card.

As soon as you access our shopping cart, our server checks that you're using an approved browser - one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher. If you get an Expired Certificate notice, that means your browser certificate has expired, not ours. This is for your protection and you can go here for further instructions on how to proceed.

Additional security feature:
We send you an email confirmation, with your order total cost, including shipping for every order you place with Born to Love. So you don't have to worry about what amount of money will be charged to your credit card.

If you are ordering from outside of Canada, in your order confirmation we will include both the Canadian amount being charged to your credit card and an estimated total in US dollars. A link will also be enclosed where you can check on the current exchange rate for your currency.

Both your invoice and credit card slip will show the amount paid in Canadian dollars. If you pay by credit card, your credit card company will do the dollar exchange for you and the actual amount, that you paid in your country's currency, will be listed on your next credit card bill. That way you get the benefit of the most current exchange rate.
